Restructure adversely-graded loans ("Special Assets"), working closely with officials of lending and borrowing institutions and others to better secure collateral, equity, or other assets of the borrower, preserve the loan principal, gather interest as possible, and prevent the loan from being charged off.
Advanced knowledge of collection procedures and laws affecting collection activities, as obtained by 5+ years experience in commercial collection activities in a financial institution. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database management. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and negotiation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective business and professional relationships at all levels of the corporation and outside the Company.
Previous lending and collection experience in a full service bank. Knowledge of loan servicing activities. Commensurate supervisory skills. Associates degree or college graduate preferred, plus additional specialized training in accounting and collections.
